For example; written by Mipmup,” Bad bacteria in the belly, which could be treated with probiotics. Then written by Liz Thompson, ” Rich peaple are the lucky ducks who live in luxury and those of us not so rich live in a dust ball.”"rich peaple like to call themselves, “Global Travelers,” ect.

week 1: Assignment #4

Have you ever had a nickname? Did your family have a particular name for you when you were little? Do your friends call you by a name other than the one you were born with? How did the name come about? Do you like it? What does it mean to you? Write a paragraph about your nick name. If you have never had a nickname, tell us about a nickname would be a good one for you, and why it would fit you.

*When I was born, I was born a TWIN so ever since we were little my mom called us “Baby Girls.” The reason she called us baby girls was because from behind she couldnt tell us apart,(she couldnt tell us apart from the front either), so if she needed to get our attention she would yell baby girl or baby girls. For example, if one of us was to run in to the middle of the street and she didnt know which name to call she would yell baby girl and we would both turn around. When we were old enough to realize why she calls us baby girls, I thought my mom was so smart to think of that and to think of calling us baby girls. Till this day we still get called baby girls because she still cant tell us apart a little. I love my nickname and its the kind of name that will always be with me.

Which is correctnickname, nick-name, or nick name? Find out and tell me. Also tell me the URL of where you got the answer.

week 1: Assignment #3

1. Using google.com, find some definitions of blog that explain the characteristics of a blog. Is google a blog? Is YouTube? Is Answers.com? (No, no, and no. But they are three of my favorite websites.) WRITE a half-page explanation of what a blog is. Include particular characteristics that make a blog a blog.

*A blog is a chronologically organized website updated by an individual with entries. Each entry contains the main body, a date, time, stamp, and title. The contents of each blog differs. Some common themes/topics of blogs are personal stories, diary-entries, new commeataries, ect. Definitions of a blog are: A blog is a personal diary, a collection of short dated discussions with commentary, and away of publishing news and information. A few charicteristics are the entry title of the blog entry, the date of the entry, the permalink, and read archives. Last but not least contemporary web blogs illustrate a number of characteristics: They are expected to be visible to the web at large; they comprise frequently updated commentary, articles or dialogue as a dated chronology, most recent first; they have some form of archiving feature, usually accessible through an on screen calendar; are increasingly open to commentary from visitors.

2. Using google.com, some other search engine, or your own Internet favorites, find a blog you like and that you would re-visit every week or so. Write a paragraph about it telling what you like about it and be sure to include the URL. (The URL is the “address” of the website. For example, the URL for this site is http://maxlighthouse.edublogs.org/

week 1: Assignment #2

1) Find some blogs that deal with topics that interest you (keep it G / PG rated, please!) You can find them by going to Google’s Blogsearch ( http://blogsearch.google.com/ )and entering the topic you want to read about (for example comic-books, hip-hop, plastic-surgery, CGI, Portugal-history, stolen-elections — almost anything. Take some time to read and explore them.

2) Choose two blogs — one you really like and one that isn’t so great. Write three paragraphs about the blog you liked best. *Be SURE TO INCLUDE the URL)* Write one paragraph about the other one. Why did you like the one that was your favorite? What did you find there? Why was it a better blog than the other one?

*Three paragraghs about the blog I liked best:

*I liked the dance/cheerleader blog because my passion is dance and this blog is all about dance and how dancers feel about dance/cheerleading. I have learned alot of new things from reading this blog. For example I realized that im not the only person who has strong passionate feeling about dancing.

*I found that DANCERS take dancing very seriausly. “This is’nt just a hobby for them, they love dancing.” Because they are so commited to dancing and preparing for their upcoming fall season the girls ensisted the help of a professional.

*This blog was better than the Good Math,Bad Math blog because it was more interesting to me. I could relate to the dance blog better, it seemed more fun to read.

*Three paragraphs about the blog I disliked:

*I disliked the math blog because it really wasnt that interesting to me, it was to much like doing homework/reading when you really dont have.

*I found alot of big words that I couldnt pronounce and alot of jibberish about how peaple dont understand Good Math and Bad Math. Im sure I could relate to this blog if it was displayed in a way that I could understand what they were talking about.

*I was bord because I think when you read something it should be interesting or at least some what understandable. So you would want to keep reading it, but I honestly wanted to stop reading it after the second paragraph.
